I feel like such a jerk sometimes.
Here I am sending out messages to you in newsletters & on social media to "Wahoo, make the most of it", "Have FUN!", "Let's Loose", & "Shake Your Booty" and then...
The world takes a sad or unimaginable turn...It sucks.
I want to be the person you look to, to refocus on the good and have joy in your life. But when things feel like they're spinning out of control, putting those messages out there makes me wonder if you think I just don't care or I'm living in a bubble.
Well I want you to know...
I know, I feel, and I AM going through it all WITH YOU.
But the only things keeping me from going insane are those 5 minutes I take to dance to my favorite new song or closing my laptop to wrestle my kids to ground with hugs & kisses and even shutting my phone off to simply breathe.
So I'm going to keep sending these messages. Keep reminding you, you are in control. You are in control of more than you think. And...
You do have the power to create little moments of happiness.
Here are a few things I did this past week to keep me going...
My Week in Review:
FIRST DAY JITTERS more like giggles - Seriously I was as giddy as a kid in a candy store.
My thoughts on Instagram "Feels AMAZING to be back in the studio! I walked in today to be surprised by this indoor โsnow showerโ of happiness and it immediately put a smile on my face ๐ Then my JBirds topped it off with an incredible class. Great job starting the year off positive & strong!"
LISTENED TO NEW TUNES ๐ต
I always say I only need people & music to get my creative juices flowing. And even though I only have a small # of students back at the studio, that's all it took to get me started. So the past few days I sat down & went nutz on Spotify. I still need to refine the new playlists but one AWESOME find with a great message was Katy Perry's Dec '20 release called "Not The End of the World". And the album Cosmic Energy has a few other good finds too. Click HERE to listen for yourself.
MY NEW "HOME GYM" Pre-covid I always loved going to the gym. but taking the extra time in the house as an opportunity to transform our basement family area. And making this little nook a space I can have FUN in, when I'm not at the studio.
Itโs not very big. About a 5 ft x 12 ft space (some people have closets bigger than that LOL) But itโs starting to take shape & Iโm SUPER EXCITED about it!
P.S. The wall art reads "Sweat. Smile. Repeat." โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
So there you have it.
It wasn't big over the top changes that made me feel like I was on top of the ๐. But they were the little things I noticed...
The little things I may have taken for granted before & the little spaces I renewed that brought a smile to my face.
I wish the same for you and only hope to inspire you to...
